Information You Submit
Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered in a search form are sent to the outside provider that delivers the result. Southlake Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those queries. If you contact us, we receive the information contained in your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the site may receive ordinary server-log information, including an IP address, browser type, page requests, and time information. We review aggregate information to operate and improve the service. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to maintain the service, respond to messages, diagnose errors, understand general traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual visitor profiles from this information.
External Services and Links
County and state portals, archives, libraries, and sponsored search providers are separate services. Their own privacy notices govern data submitted on their pages, including information entered into a sponsored-results tool. Review a linked service’s terms and policies before providing information there.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Hosting and support providers may process technical logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when required by valid legal process and otherwise only as described in this policy.
Data Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because the site has no account system, it does not maintain a visitor password or account profile to protect.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information so it can be addressed.
Texas Privacy Choices
Depending on the circumstances, consumers may have rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing of personal data. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas Business and Commerce Code chapter 541, describes covered consumer rights and exemptions. Because Southlake Residents Directory retains very little information, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by Southlake, Tarrant County, Denton County, or Texas agencies are controlled by their custodians, not by this service.
Policy Revisions
We may post a revised policy here when practices change. Continued use after publication of a revision means the updated policy applies.
